greyman
Hello, I tried to install MacOS 10.4.6 on my Sony VAIO. It is a Centrino Notebook with a 915 grafic card on board an a ICH6 Chipset. Mem is 1024 MB DDR2. My first try booting was successfull, die Instalation dialog apears. I shut MacOS down and stated SuSE 10.0 to shrink the Windows partition. After that, MacOS isn't stating any more. When I use the -v flag at the bootprompt it ran till "no Airport driver loaded", then the screen blanks to white and... nothing more. I waited more then an hour but nothing. Also no result with '-x -v'. What more can I do? I tried it already with al 2x burned DVD-R, same result. But I am shure that it works the first time, realy !! Alex EDIT: On my desktop the DVD works fine. EDIT2: I just cleant the whole disc, no effect. greyman
Hi, it's a Sony VAIO VGN-FS485B WLAN is off, meantime it starts one time and I was able to install MAC OS X. After one reboot it starts from the harddisk but it ran again into a blank screen. I will try again, again and again. stepfresh
I'm running into the same problem with my Sony SZ. I've plugged in a second monitor and it displays the blue screen as it should.. but no language select. However, i can mouse to the left (as if the screen was extended to two monitors) and drag the license agreement window across! The problem is, i need to access the Disk Utility menu and can't seem to drag that one over. Any ideas how to get the UI to display on the external screen instead of extending? Many thanks.
