jakeyblakey
Hi there this is my first post, I joined because i am having trouble installing leopard on my m1210 xps laptop, Partition is done installation completes, multicore support is off but when it finishes it asks to restart as it should, but upon restarting it says something like "Hibernate failed SLeep image has Garbaged" So i continue to load my OSX partition the apple grey screen comes up with the logo for a while flashes blue and then its like my screen has turned off. I accept there maybe a solution to this already but i am pretty sure it has something to do with the custom installation step. I think i may be selecting the wrong drivers. Any help will be appreciated i have been searching for days and you guys seem to know your stuff Please Please Please help Regards Jake. clockwork automaton
This sounds like the exact problem I have been having as well. I just installed on my dell xps m1330 everything works great except for this issue. However, if I let it sit at the black screen for about 20 minutes or so it eventually will turn the display back on and for some reason it reads the dvd drive and acts almost as if it is coming out of sleep mode. I've looked through these forums and haven't seen anything else on this issue. I would love to get this resolved because right now my boot times are insanely high. Fualtycannon
I run the same computer you do, and haven't found a solution for fixing sleep mode or turning my monitor back on when it cuts off to save power. I think it's just one of those bugs we wont be able fix with iATKOS. My suggestion, since I haven't looked yet myself, would be to look up "kext". They are drivers for os86x. A Kext installer may also be helpful. There are plenty quides that may have information. Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to fix it.
