  1. Really long boot

Thus my confusion, because there isn't anything else in my log so I have no idea why my boot is taking so long.
  2. Really long boot

So I dumped speedstep and I have reduced my boot time to about 10 minutes. A few remaining problems exist and I have no clue how the hell to fix them nor what the messages actually mean: 8/28/09 10:17:14 PM com.apple.launchctl.System[2] launchctl: Please convert the following to launchd: /etc/mach_init.d/chum.plist 8/28/09 10:17:14 PM com.apple.launchctl.System[2] launchctl: Please convert the following to launchd: /etc/mach_init.d/dashboardadvisoryd.plist 8/28/09 10:17:14 PM com.apple.launchctl.System[2] launchctl: Please convert the following to launchd: /etc/mach_init.d/pilotfish.plist 8/28/09 10:17:14 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.distccdConfigd) Unknown key: SHAuthorizationRight 8/28/09 10:17:14 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.usbmuxd) Unknown key for boolean: EnableTransactions 8/28/09 10:17:14 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (org.cups.cupsd) Unknown key: SHAuthorizationRight 8/28/09 10:17:14 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (org.ntp.ntpd) Unknown key: SHAuthorizationRight 8/28/09 10:17:14 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (org.x.privileged_startx) Unknown key for boolean: EnableTransactions 8/28/09 10:17:27 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.distccdConfigd[31]) Exited with exit code: 255 8/28/09 10:17:27 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.DumpPanic[30]) Exited with exit code: 1 8/28/09 10:17:30 PM org.ntp.ntpd[13] Error : nodename nor servname provided, or not known 8/28/09 10:17:42 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.UserEventAgent-LoginWindow[461]) Exited: Terminated 8/28/09 10:17:42 PM com.apple.launchd[455] (org.x.startx) Unknown key for boolean: EnableTransactions of these things what can easily be dumped and fixed?
  3. Really long boot

I just installed on my m1330 and I upgraded to 10.5.8 and fixed all the driver issues and all that jazz. But even since I installed my boot time has been insanely high, there are a few minor errors when I boot with -v, but it doesn't actually hang there, it gets past that shows the light blue background and then goes black for about 15-20 minutes. I have repaired disk permissions, I have ran applejack in single user mode, I've deleted Extensions.mkext and nothing seems to work. I've checked through the console and there are some issues there but I don't quite understand how to fix them. 8/28/09 1:18:27 PM com.apple.launchctl.System[2] launchctl: Please convert the following to launchd: /etc/mach_init.d/dashboardadvisoryd.plist 8/28/09 1:18:27 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.usbmuxd) Unknown key for boolean: EnableTransactions 8/28/09 1:18:27 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (org.cups.cupsd) Unknown key: SHAuthorizationRight 8/28/09 1:18:27 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (org.ntp.ntpd) Unknown key: SHAuthorizationRight 8/28/09 1:18:27 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (org.x.privileged_startx) Unknown key for boolean: EnableTransactions 8/28/09 1:18:40 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.DumpPanic[30]) Exited with exit code: 1 8/28/09 1:18:41 PM com.uphuck.speedstep2[39] kextload: /Library/SpeedStep2/IntelEnhancedSpeedStep.kext loaded successfully 8/28/09 1:18:42 PM org.ntp.ntpd[13] Error : nodename nor servname provided, or not known 8/28/09 1:18:43 PM com.uphuck.speedstep2[39] 2009-08-28 13:18:43.816 SpeedStep[158:10b] _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. 4. M1210 Leopard using Iatkos HELP!

This sounds like the exact problem I have been having as well. I just installed on my dell xps m1330 everything works great except for this issue. However, if I let it sit at the black screen for about 20 minutes or so it eventually will turn the display back on and for some reason it reads the dvd drive and acts almost as if it is coming out of sleep mode. I've looked through these forums and haven't seen anything else on this issue. I would love to get this resolved because right now my boot times are insanely high.
  5. Hacked PS/2 Driver :)

Thanks a lot for this, I installed this with kext helper and it worked like a charm. Only hitch was I had to boot with cpus=1 otherwise it would kernel panic, but I have my keyboard and touchpad working now.
