Problems with Leopard 10.5.5

Please could someone assist me as i am new to the OSX.

After reading a few forums - found out that the best OS to download was Leopard 10.5.5

 

I have a Acer Aspire 3050 Laptop and yes it supports SSE2 and SSE3 : here is the Processor Information using CPU-Z

I've downloaded the Ideneb 10.5.5 image and tried booting with it and get the following error

 

IOPCCardBridge ::Start Failed

Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleOnboardPCATA" has no explicit

Still waiting for root device

 

It justs repeats the still waiting for root device. I even tried starting with in safe mode and no luck

 

Could someone assist me with this?
