SmellySlug
Hello, I wonder if anyone could identify the causes of the Kernel panic message i am getting after installing iAtkos v7. The system boots and begins to load but falls over very quickly thereafter. Its hard to determine what the problem is " the system is reporting an invalid UUID which is a system unique number (i think!) I think the errors later on indicate some sort of APIC problem associated with either CPU or motherboard config " I can’t be sure. I don't understand the registers " you need to be a specialist to sort out what they mean since they give information at the very lowest level, unfortunately, thats not me! System Pentium E2220 Duel Core @2.2GHZ 800MHZ FSB 4gb ddr2 Mem PN5-MX Motherboard ATI Radeon HD 3800 Any solutions or advice would be very much appreciated. Yiou may need to use the x86 modified ACPI or the old APIC driver, plus Apple PS/2 instead of the stock ACPI installed by default and Voodoo PS/2.....do not use VoodooPS/2 with these modified ACPI drivers, use ApplePS/2 if you have PS/2 devices..... I will try a ideneb build with the patches that use the old acpi kerts. This is the quickest (and most lazy) route through this. SmellySlug
Did you get round this by disabling one of your cores? My problem is that the motherboard is incompatible (not sure why) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/181469-iatkos-v7-kernel-error/#findComment-1563685 Share on other sites
