themackid
Hi all, I'm having an issue booting to the iDeneb 10.5.8 Lite installer via a USB hard drive. I've used dd to copy the iDeneb .img file to my external HDD. When I plug the USB hard drive into my HP Mini 1010NR, turn it on, I get absolutely no acknowledgement from the computer that the disk exists or is bootable. I've updated the Mini's BIOS to F.13 (I'm not sure if this matters; Not much of a PC person), and set the USB hard drive with iDeneb to the first boot priority. Still no results. Any Ideas? Input appreciated. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/181345-ideneb-1058-lite-on-hp-mini-1010nr-no-boot/ Share on other sites
koenvbeek
So you 'cloned' the dvd image and put that on your external hdd? That's not gonna work! You should look for a guide on putting a mac installer on a hdd. The way of booting is different.
