koenvbeek
Hi! I'm trying to install OS X on my new laptop. I already have successfully installed OS X on my self-built desktop, running iDeneb 1.4. But now about my laptop: it just never boots up! I tried the iDeneb 1.4 dvd, which boots up. I selected all chipset patches and the ALC262 fix, and Dutch as extra language (I'm from Holland). The install finishes. At next boot i type -v at the darwin prompt. Then the boot stucks nearly immediately. It doesn't read much from the harddisk. I attached a screenshot. I also tried the iPC 10.5.6 dvd, as i saw on youtube a video with my laptop and i read at the description that he used the iPC dvd. But that dvd doesn't even boot up! I used the -v end -x flags to boot, but it never works. I don't know what i should do now. My specs: Acer Extensa 5630EZ Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200 (2Ghz) 2GB DDR2 667Mhz mem 160GB HDD, attached to ICH9M DVD dive also attached to ICH9M Intel 4500MHD (I know it won't work) WLAN: Atheros AR928X (will not work i think) LAN Broadcom BCMS764M (also will not wrk i think) Please help!
