Hello, guys

I have ASUS P5QPL-AM mobo with G41/ICH7. I've installed the iDeneb 10.5.7 on it., but booting times and hard disk is very slow now,

Maybe someone can point me out what I need to do

TIA

Try replacing the IOATAFamily.kext with http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...c=88335&hl=

It made my system boot faster (note: you may need to add your SATA controller vendor/device ID to AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext which is located inside the IOATAFamily.kext plug-ins folder).

No warranties it'll be helpful though.

Hello:

I got de same motherboard, ASUS P5Q-AM, and I try almost every way to install a good and stable OSX86 on that motherboard without success.

Sometimes the intallation ended well, but was imposible to boot to the graphics server, try any way.

Just to name some imge or distributions tried in the last 14 days:

IDENEB 1.5 (10.5.7) , IDENEB 1.6 (10.5.8), IATKOS V7, LEO4ALL V3, MAC OS X 10.5.6 RETAIL, Bootloader install, DSTD patched way, diferents ways though single user, etc...

Can you help me with this? Writing how you do it, your intallation steps, any help.

Thanks in advance and greeting from SouthAmerica

The only distro that boot and run OS X installer is iDENEB, it run flawlesly from begin to end the install proccess, then the intallation finish and you have to restart to enter in the new OS X recently installed, but it will never boot, get stuck at the begining of the boot proccess.

That's the far I get.
