mac86x Posted August 23, 2009 Share Posted August 23, 2009 hi can someone please explain why this error is occuring i have a K9N platinum with 5600 AMD dual core chip Nvidia Nforce 570 chipset, i have 4 gig of ram , 8600gt card and 3 sata drives , install drive is fresh 500Gig drive. i cant get past the install start - i iso 'ed the 10.5.5 version and it starts up after boot with this error systemconfig file com.apple.boot.S/library/preferences/systemconfig/com.apple.boot.plist not found then later it tries to load and get this error and sits at prompt Controller or Device error block 4161488 sector 64 id appreciate some help thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/181227-fixing-boot-problem/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
