Navimaster
Hi guys, this is my first attempt at installing mac on my pc and I've been at it for 3 days now... I did some searching around and I found out that I needed to get a patched BIOS for my iatkos v7 DVD to boot and install properly. (I'm using a P5QL pro mobo) I've tried different choices of drivers to install and all of them seem to just make the startup screen freeze at the shiny silvery apple logo when it first boots after installation. (gray circle spins for like 7 minutes and then freezes) My system specs are: Motherboard: ASUS P5QL-Pro Motherboard, Intel P45 Socket CPU: Intel Core2Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz (SSE,SSE2,SSE3,SSSE3,SSE4.1) Cores: 2 Graphic Card: Nvidia GTX 260 Sound: Realtek HD Audio Hard-drive: Seagate Model ST3300620AS SATA 320GB HD Network: Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller (or Linksys USB Wi-fi SpeedBooster) I got the patched bios from this thread: P5Q Pro & Mac OSX Leopard I've had to reinstall iatkos several times. I have XP installed on the other partition which only boots with IDE. I've read that you must install iatkos with AHCI but I tried both and still get the same freezing. I just can't seem to get it to boot properly after installation. I'm assuming this is because I'm choosing the wrong drivers and it is kernel panicking. Can someone please help?
