Hack24
I have a GA-EX58-UD4P board and I need help! I have been looking around the internet and can't find a PERFECTLY absolutely sure I am not screwing myself over install guide! I need help for running 10.5.2 or higher! I have a Kalyway 10.5.2 Install disc but I cant find anywhere that it would work? I would normally try but I don't have any materials to experiment on it yet, and was hoping someone else has and would tell me either it won't work or tell me how I can use this board for running mac os X. So I need someones help! Please! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/181119-i-need-a-ga-ex58-ud4p-hackintosh-install-guide/ Share on other sites

I don't understand this and it makes me curious, what materials are you talking about? You've got a computer and the install disc, what's stopping you from sticking it in the DVD drive and see if it boots or not? As in i only have the motherboard thats all i have for now. And what I am looking for is how to determine what drivers to install from the disc such as vanilla drivers? Beerkex'd
You don't install "vanilla" drivers, they get installed with the system without any action required on your part. When you select patches and fixes in 'Customize', those replace or modify the vanilla drivers. I don't know if there's a guide for your particular board but I know there are guides for some X58 chipset boards already. Look at those and mix and match what you can use. But this board isn't on there! So I have questions because as i said my previous build was explained already but this one I can't find something on it! As Easy as the other one anyway. So what i'm really asking is how do i know what patches will work or which ones to choose? Beerkex'd
So what i'm really asking is how do i know what patches will work or which ones to choose? You go by trial and error. If you're new to installing OSX on a PC it's not unusual to go through 5-10 installs and even then maybe something still isn't working. There is lots of help available if you type GA-EX58-UD4P in the search box. I gave you a very good hint already that you seem to have completely ignored: Look up the tutorials and guides (use the search box up top or google "OSX X58" for example) for installing OSX on other motherboards with the X58 chipset. These boards will be similar to yours and so you should be able to follow one or the other, or mix parts from them. If you don't know how to do that, all you can do is sit around and wait for someone else to write a guide. itsjared
Try, this http://buildahackintosh.com/2009/09/13/gue...-i7-hackintosh/ Prolly against the rules to put that here but maybe you get it. It worked flawlessly for me and I am doing it again tonight, I'll try to document it as well.
