1. Look for any DVD distro that says working with AMD (ur life will be much easier down the road with intel based cpus)

2. x-fi won't work with hackintosh. SB Live, Audigy1,2 would. You on-board should work

3. I am not sure about the chipset u are using, so do a lot of google searches instead of waiting for people to answer this thread would save u some time.

Ok man thanks, i have a iAtkos V7 DVD with me at the moment, but i am faced with the dreaded "still waiting for boot device" and then my hard drive spin-down, just thinking is there a way i can make it run inside of Windows?

OS X in vmware isn't all its cracked up to be. For a nice experience you want it installed natively. You're probably getting the "still waiting for root device" error because of your nforce chipset. Is the optical drive you are using to boot from IDE or SATA? I've got an nforce 680i and 780i, both give me these issues. I've had luck with iPC, and iDeneb distro's. They seem to contain the updated drivers to allow booting from the dvd.

A better place to look for help would be in one of the threads by a user named "Verdant" (Spelling?), link below. He has helped many of us out with our nforce boards; I'd go read his opening posts to help resolve your errors, and if you still have problems post there for help.
