mahimahi42
For the last two days, I've been trying to install Kalyway 10.5.2 on a virtual machine to see how it works out on my laptop (Gateway MT6705), but haven't gotten past Darwin loading. I'm using VMware Server 2.0 with the Kalyway 10.5.2 iso. I set up my virtual machine following this guide: http://asendure.wordpress.com/2006/10/01/o...-server-amd-64/, and can boot from the cd. The boot flags -v, -f, and -s all reboot the machine and then force me to try to boot from the network. If I use the boot flag -x, I can get through the initial loading, but then I get errors saying it cannot create \Library\Logs because the root file system is read-only. If I use -y, it tries to debug, but still ends up with the same error. I went and looked at my .vmdk file, but according to it, the disk is writable. Is there a solution to this problem? Or is there a setting(s) I have to change? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/180824-kalyway-1052-vmware-server-installation-issues/ Share on other sites
mahimahi42
Ok, the -v flag doesn't force a restart, but doesn't seem to change anything. Also, I've mounted the Kalyway iso with WinCDEmu. However, I cannot boot from it.
