This isn't the first post on the subject and probably not the last...

My current system's primary graphics card is the ATI Radeon 9550. In Windows I'm able to run the second monitor with an extended desktop through the TV out. I realize this same functionality with an ATI card is not possible in OSx86 (yet...).

Is it possible to have a working secondary PCI graphics card that coexists with a primary AGP card using extended desktop?

If you've had success what cards have you used?

On a side note, has anybody seen the PCI ATI Radeon "Mac Editions". Are these cards Mac only? The guy at MicroCenter said the hardware was different but something about what he was saying made me think he didn't know and was making something up to sound legit.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, these cards only work on PPC mac (as opposed to Intel macs and PCs) since they use a different firmware.

I knew the salesman was pulling :P out of thin air. He said the video card was physically different and wouldn't fit in a PCI slot on a PC. Can't say I blame him. The only reason I could tell was that I used to do the same at Kmart in high school (and Ritz Camera in college).

Anybody else have any experience with an AGP+PCI solution?
