Please help! How to Install Ideneb 10.5.7 on ASUS p5b Turbo

Hello all,

 

After 1 week working hard, i still can't install Ideneb 10.5.7 into my PC, please kindly help me to solve the problem...

 

 

Specs

 

Asus P5Q Turbo

Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz

NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT (512 MB)

Western Digit 640 harddisk

 

I try to install many combination of the driver but also fail:

 

i mainly choose the following options:

 

ideneb essentia

9.7.0 vanilla kernel

Chameleon V2

NVinject 0.2.1 512MB

 

and then i add these in the next installation:

JMicronATA

ICHxFixed

apple SMbios 800

 

I found that many people will change Storage config to ahci in BIOS, I also try it, but if I change to AHCI, the installer disk can't find the harddisk so I can't format the harddisk to MAC OS extended (journaled), I think may be I don't know how to config to AHCI correctly as I'm a mac user before and don't know about PC, anybody can give me suggestion to do this?

 

Anybody use Asus P5Q Turbo to install the mac system successfully? After over 30 times to boot and re-install, I am thinking is my parts suitable for installation? As the P5Q turbo is given by my friend, if I can use this board, I won't need to buy a new one.

 

Anybody have idea how to fix it.

Checking the OSX86 Wiki page, only the PB5, PB5 Plus and the PB5-VM SE are listed; Clicky here

 

I would suggest you download iDeneber 10.5.6 and try installing that, if that fails the try another distro., IPC or iAtkos.
