Randy C
Ok just to warn you I am definitely a noob so sorry if any of this sounds stupid. I am pretty much learning about everything as I go along. So basically I pulled out my old Dell Dimension 4600 which I hadn't seen for a while and decided to try to install OS X on it. I'm using iATKOS v5i 10.5.5. I've got everything working except for audio. I had a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live sound card but realized the Dell version of it is unsupported by the kxaudio driver. So I opened up my computer and plugged the audio jack into my mother board and now AC97 shows up in my list of audio devices in OS X System Prefs. It shows up but still no sound is produced at all. Is there anything I should be doing that I am unaware of? If more information is needed about my set up I can gladly give you as much info as I know.
