Hi,

ASUS A8SC laptop: T7300 CPU, PM965 chipset, ICH8-ME southbridge, 2Gb RAM, GeForce 8400M G. Bios version is 302 (latest).

I've been trying to install a retail version of Leopard without success. Used a basic Boot 132 disc, able to swap discs and detect the Leopard Retail DVD, but it is stalling on the grey apple logo screen.

When I tried to boot with '-v', the last statement I see is "dsmos: starting" - and it just sits there.

Not sure what I need to do? Any help?

Still no luck, waited over an hour today to see if anything changed but it hadn't/ Not sure what is causing the error, although two questions.

1) I'm using one hard drive which has the following partitions. Do I need to make the OSX partition active before I install Leopard?

100mb - Windows 7 System Partition (NTFS, Primary, Active)

30gb - Windows 7 OS (NTFS, Primary, Active)

30gb - OSX, blank partition (NTFS, Primary) <- this is the one I will format and install Leopard on

70gb - Documents (NTFS, Logical)

2) Would my video card (128mb 8400M G) have anything to do with the freeze? Can anyone suggest boot options if it is?

Thanks!
