trowakage
Been trying out iDeneb 1.5.1 1057 (leopard) and uphuck 1.3 (tiger) on my old Presario X1000 (Specs), and can't get it past the following kernel panic after bootup for either distribution: A bit of forum searching tells me that this is hard drive controller related. So I've tried (in separate install attempts): -adding IOATA (from the customize screen during installation of above distributions): -using -f -x boot options -adding ICH7 or ICH8 kexts (the laptop actually uses ICH4-M) I've also read about booting from a specific UUID, but I'm not sure how to get that info for my drive. Any pointers? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/180384-hard-drive-related-kernel-panic-on-compaq-presario-x1000/ Share on other sites
