if you are using iPC 10.5.6, it should be there. Refer to this screenshot I took of my setup:

im gonna try to google to find iPC 10.5.6 again and hopefully i get the latest one then

unless you have a link to a website where i can find it/torrent.

YOUR WERE RIGHT!

NOW I GET

Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPCI

THAT FIX WOULD FIX THIS RIGHT?

is there a way i can just get that fix or do i require to download the whole DVD image?

I don't think that I am allowed to give you a specific link to a torrent. All I can really say is to make sure that the description of the torrent includes a list of all the installation options (Most good ones do) and make sure ACPI fix is there.

Edit: Good, you caught the connection. You might be able to find a PPF pach to apply to the disc image you already have but I don't think one exists for iPC.

now i get this:

so im guessing i need that fix.

is there anything i can get individually instead of downloading the whole DVD image?

Edited my previous post

hope you have a great vacation!

hope to hear from you when you return.

I will post what my outcome is after the fix.

i tried using a guide i found on a website that requires the original combo update from apple and osx86 tools but that failed.

i also tried ideneb 10.5.7/10.5.8 combo update but that also fails. after the update the system wont boot up at all

First, you cannot use any other distro's updates. You can only use iPC's updates.

Second, you should be able to create your own update. I don't know why that didn't work.

Third, there really isn't much benefit in updating to 10.5.8 or 10.5.9. No new features, just fixes for actual Macs. 10.5.6 is pretty much the final update for OSx86 PC's before Snow Leopard comes out.

Sorry, I misspoke. You cannot create your own updates unless you are able to use vanilla kernel. (which you can't)

You can get Safari 4 here, and a simple Google search may lead you to the other updates you want.

yup. so i cant.

wait safari will work on my 10.5.6 even though it requires 10.5.7?

I didn't think about that part. I am not sure if it will work or not. It wouldn't hurt to try...

installing safari didnt work.

can you help me out?

im booting up in -v and it stops here:

USBF: 1.618 AppleUSBOHCI[0x2f15800]::CheckSleepCapability - OHCI controller will be unloaded across sleep

USBF: 1.628 AppleUSBOHCI[0x2daa800]::CheckSleepCapability - OHCI controller will be unloaded across sleep
