holyfield
This guide helps Abit IL9 Pro motherboard owners to install Mac OS X 10.5.8 I used iDeneb v1.6 Lite Edition to install Mac OS X on machine. Before Installation Steps Download iDeneb 1.6 Lite Prepare installation media - there are two main options for creation of installation media. I recommend to use bootable USB media if available. USB installation is much faster than DVD. Create installation DVD - Burn DVD image to the blank DVD Create installation USB media (optional, but faster install) [*]Reboot machine with installation media Installation Steps Wait until machine boots (with DVD can take a while) Open Disk Utilities and prepare your hard disk (I used 1TB hard disk with 2 partitions. I used GUID partition table.) After Installation Steps Boot from windows or another Mac OS X Install ACPI Fix kexts for your new system (otherwise wouldn't boot) Reboot machine to new installation Follow screen instructions (create account and etc) Insert original Mac OS X disk and install optional components (printer drivers, xcode tools, etc) Update Mac OS X [*]Restore Apple Wallpapers Copy Snow Leopard Wallpapers to the Apple wallpapers directory /Library/Desktop Pictures Replace default login screen wallpaper on /System/Library/CoreServices/DefaultDesktop.jpg with your favorite image. (I dont like iDeneb image) Replace /Library/Desktop Pictures/Nature/Aurora.jpg with your favorite image.(I dont like iDeneb image) [*]d Click on Apple icon on top left on menu bar Click on Software Update Choose desired updates and click Install items. Wait until install is completed and reboot if asked. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/180174-abit-il9-pro-mac-os-x-1058/ Share on other sites
