I Russian, write the translator i'm running ideneb 10.5.8 with the hd2600xt. did a clean install of 10.5.7 (the patched version, which includes ati 2600 series drivers) and it worked fine out of the box (multiple resolutions but still not qe but i think i can fix that). then did the delta upgrade to 10.5.8 and it installed without a hitch. you might try the patched version of 10.5.7 (i think its ideneb 1.5.1) or else boot with the -x flag (safe mode) and then install the driver (kext). good luck. if you search in this forum you can find instructions for enable quartz extreme and all the other bells and whistles, i just haven't tried yet.
