Please, please, someone help me, thank you very much!! tmitim
what happened to the forum? nobody would even help any more? but when I searched, most of my questions were directed here. So sad now, it's been three days since I posted, every day I came home, the first thing was to check whether there were any answers, always disappointing. Beerkex'd
Your biggest mistake is that you're assuming that people know what a "T43" is. Beerkex'd
I don't know what an IBM Thinkpad 43 is, it might as well be a toaster. Don't expect people to go and look up your hardware specs for you (you're effectively asking me to do that by not providing them), it is your job as an absolute minimum to provide your specs when asking for help. That said, the loaded kexts reveal most of the information you need. All the kexts you listed also run on my hackintosh, except the ones below (might have missed one or two) 20 0 0x1af19000 0x2000 0x1000 net.osrom.kext.Disabler (1.0.1) <12> 24 2 0x1b06a000 0x6000 0x5000 org.voodoo.driver.PS2Controller (1.1.0) <12> 29 0 0x1b1cc000 0x3000 0x2000 org.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard (1.1.0) <24 23 12> 38 0 0x20794000 0x9000 0x8000 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelPIIXATA (2.0.0) <37 17 6 5 4> 45 0 0x20b80000 0x19000 0x18000 com.apple.iokit.IOPCCardFamily (1.6.4) <17 12> 50 0 0x20dd5000 0xe000 0xd000 com.apple.iokit.IOATABlockStorage (2.0.5) <42 37 6 5 4 2> 62 0 0x1af25000 0xb000 0xa000 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer (4.2.0) <61 12> 65 2 0x1af3d000 0xd000 0xc000 com.apple.driver.AppleAC97Audio (1.0.0) <64 12> 66 0 0x1af8d000 0x4000 0x3000 com.apple.driver.AppleAC97AudioIntelICH (1.0.0) <65 17 12> 71 0 0x20471000 0x15000 0x14000 com.apple.iokit.AppleBCM5751Ethernet (2.1.0d21) <70 17 6 5 4 2> 76 0 0x1b070000 0x3000 0x2000 org.voodoo.driver.PS2Mouse (1.2.0) <24 23 12> 79 0 0x1ad31000 0x2000 0x1000 com.apple.driver.AppleAC97CodecAD198x (1.0.0) <65 12> 80 0 0x207bd000 0x37000 0x36000 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelGMA950 (5.4.4) <77 61 17 12 6 5 4 2> 82 0 0x1adc1000 0x4000 0x3000 com.superhai.driver.VoodooBattery (1.2.1) <18 5 4> 85 0 0x207fc000 0x6000 0x5000 com.superhai.driver.VoodooPower (1.2.3) <12 7 6 5 4> From the extensions you listed your laptop has Intel GMA graphics, the ICH7 Southbridge (which in many instances will work with unmodified Apple drivers - some actual Apple computers also have the ICH7), there's a Broadcom LAN device, Intel AC97 audio, and the trackpad and keyboard are PS2 devices. First thing that jumps out is the VoodooPS2 driver - that will obviously need to be on your boot CD, otherwise you're going to have to use an external USB mouse and USB keyboard to go through the installation process. More generally speaking, as a minimum you need AppleDecrypt or DSMOS.kext, those are mandatory on any PC running OSX. Most people also need disabler.kext, you are using it - it is the first kext on the list up there. But whether you actually really need it or not depends on your CPU model, mainly if you can run vanilla kernel or not and if you are using a DSDT patch that fixes the HPET. Hopefully your T43 has a Core 2 Duo CPU. If your Broadcom LAN, GMA950 and audio drivers need to be patched to work, you need to do some searching and find out if there's a way to get them to work from the boot CD, but they're not strictly necessary during installation. If your ICH7 drivers need patching to work with your hardware, obviously patched versions must be present on your boot CD, or you won't be able to boot at all. But I don't think you need to worry about this, Chameleon 2.0 already comes with patched ICHx drivers, including patched versions of the ones that are already loaded on your system.
