Husky79
Hello all, i have been researching for weeks on this site, and other sites, google etc.. i have tried several attempts on my HP Pavillion dv9008nr with amd cpu, with no success. So far i have tried iatkos v7, leo4all, ipcosx. I am currently waiting for iDeneb v1.4 to finish downloading then try that one. With iatkos i was able to get to the install and it installed but then when it was done, it just kept on rebooting everytime. so i tried ipcosx, it started installing and when i left, and came back and it just kept showing the same error (sorry i forgot to write down the error) but it kept on scrolling down with that error. So i tried Leo4All, when i put the disc in it showed the boot log, and wouldnt show install or anything just shows this error disk1s2: I/O Error. 0 [level 3] [readuid 0] [facility com.apple.system.fs] [errno 5] [iotype read] [pblknum 2216558] [lblknum 0] [fslogmsgid (number changes everytime)] [fslogmsgorder first] 0 [level 3] [readuid 0] [facility com.apple.system.fs] [devnode root_device] [mountpt /] [path /usr/lib/libsystem.b.dylib] [fslogmsgid (same as above)] [fslogmsgorder last] sam multimedia : read or write failed, sense_key = 0x03, asc = 0x10, ascq = 0x90 When ideneb is done, im going to try that if it fails, i am out of ideas. this ideneb 1.4 is the one i got for my main pc that i want to try out on. my main pc is Intel i7 920, asus p6t standard mobo, with ati hd4850 1gb. I have read that ideneb works on i7's as simple install not able to use apple update. I really am at a point about ready to give up and go buy a apple computer. I really dont want to shell out few grand into a expensive computer while my i7 is really very good pc and powerful enough for sure to run final cut, the reason i am trying to run leopard is so i can run final cut that i plan to purchase. can anyone help me out? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/179767-need-help-installing-leopard-on-amd-laptop-and-i7-pc/ Share on other sites
