nul1l
Hye, I burned already the .ISO already onto a dvd using data to image whatever, and i boot from cd, i get everything imaging......................................................................... ....then it says Boot: _ that's when i insert the original OS X, then i get: Boot Device [ef]: i type ef then out of the sudden i see the mac logo on a grey background.. then i get the "You need to restart your computer" in several languages, i turned it on and still not working.. i burned the generic iso. taking the initrid blah blah blah, created a new disk image using transMac blah blah copied the extra folder blah blah blah, renaming the dmg into a img blah blah burned it same problem. I also tried the same thing burning the BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY.iso but same problem, i tried it without creating the new disk image and 1 creating the same new image, but same thing :/ any suggestion? could i be burning the wrong .isos? or kext packages? i attached some picz so u guys can see waht's happening snap shot before the error http://i25.tinypic.com/2sbojy8.jpg snap shot of the error http://i32.tinypic.com/2im813q.jpg http://i27.tinypic.com/fempoz.jpg PC Specs: HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dv6-1245 Series-dx Notebook Intel Core 2 Duo Inside http://i30.tinypic.com/rkxbgy.jpg http://i25.tinypic.com/2nsp62r.jpg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/179576-hp-pavilion-dv61245-you-need-to-restart-your-computer-error/ Share on other sites

derekreid
It's called a kernel panic. For more detailed information on exactly what went wrong, boot into verbose mode and search for whatever error you find there. To boot verbosely, hit F8 at the bootloader and boot with the -v flag. Search "kernel panic" and "verbose boot" for more info if you need.
