Dell Inspiron 6200 & ATI Radeon X300 Mobility definitive solution

Hi all,

 

I've successfully installed iDeneb 1.4 on my Dell Inspiron 6200, but as many in this forum I'm still having problems with the screen resolution due to the fact that it is only 1024x760.

 

My Dell is able to have 1280x800 and I've seen and followed lots of tutorials and instrucions foun on this forum and on the iDeneb i.e. tried Callisto, Ati9700 kext modifing the plist string, changing the boot preferences and any sort of instructions that I've found.... but still having the same annoying 1024x768 :-(

 

The bad is that to do a test I've to reinstall the entire iDeneb from the scratch every time and the time waste is too much. Somebody on a forum also told me that I was using the wrong kext because it was too old and tied to an old os version so now I'm very confused and don't know hot to go on.

 

So I wonder and ask you if there is someone that was able to solve this issue in these time, I mean in the 2009 with lateste osx modded (not matter if ideneb or other) in order to share experience or to release a complete tutorial to have the full graphics display.

I have used the same graphics card in a Hackintosh. The best driver is at this link on insanelymac: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36886

The driver is an install script package and it works fine.

It is the second to last file in the list of 0 through A.
