aeronauticsrock Posted August 10, 2009 Share Posted August 10, 2009 Im stumped on this one. I had a working OS 10.5.7 on an Hp a1010n. I put a new graphics card and thought it wasnt booting, but really the monitor just needed to be reset. With all the "failed boots" I hard restarted it several time, which caused errors that disk utility couldnt fix. As such, I formatted and reinstalled, with everything the same as it was, only now it hangs at "Still waiting for root device". I cant figure out why it wont get past that...literally nothing has changed. Ive reinstalled twice using MBR and on the third try i tried GUID. Still nothing. what could be going on here? Thanks!
