rsdgrdgeg
Hi guys, I've searched around, and seen a lot of the Mac Pro (Hack Pro) threads on the forum but I'm really trying nail down /exactly/ how tough it is to physically get all of the components into the case. How much drilling, shearing, etc is involved. I only ask because a lot of the mods seem to be the Powermac G5 cases and not the newer Mac Pro's I'm not one to shy away from a task of course, but wouldn't mind knowing how hard it'll be before I let go of $300 bones on the shiny new case. I've heard some say it's a lot more difficult if one doesn't have a mini ATX board. My board happens to of course be the full sized Gigabyte EP45, which has so far worked out pretty damn fantastically as far as hackintosh boards go. Any input would be much obliged. Scottapotamas
I would also be interested in this... I have watched many people mod, but none with my/our board... I have a EP45-UD3 (in sig) as well as a UD3LR and a UD3P... and would love to get one in a mac pro case... Reiner
Hi, Scottapotamos: Your Link shows a Powermac G5 Hack, not a Mac Pro. But here is a Link to aquamac. He build a Mac Pro Hack with full ATX-Board. But it is duifficult. http://aquamac.proboards.com/index.cgi?boa...&thread=593 Best Regards Reiner Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/179014-mac-pro-case-and-ep45-ds3l/#findComment-1223943 Share on other sites
