Hi guys, I have a problem with my RAM... It's DDR2 PC-5400 667 MHz, but for some reason, its clocked at 533MHz... I attached some pictures which show the optional 2GB RAM clocked at 667 MHz (which is what I have), and the screen which shows 'About This Mac'... I now have 10.5.8 (which did not fix the problem), but I took this pic when I had 10.5.7... Can anyone help me??? I googled my problem, but found no one else having this problem.

Thanx In Advance!!!!!!!!

Don't quote me on it but in "About this Mac" it doesn't always accurately display timings if you go and hit the button just under "More info" it should take you to system profiler which might more accurately describe your RAM, if not it's not a big deal not only will you probably never use that extra bandwith but it is probably actually running at 667. I had a similar problem with my overclocked q9550 showed at 4.0 ghz it was overclocked but only to 3.4 ghz if it bothers you that much there are programs to manually change the about his mac windows. OSX86 tools is a great one that does many other useful things I think it was made by PCwiz.

I had the same problem a few time ago.

I had 4GB DDR2 800MHz identified as 4GB DDR2 667MHz in "About this Mac". But upgraded from Chameleon 2.0RC1 to Chameleon 2.0RC2, and the problem disappeared.

what boot loader do you use?

I use Xiezhy now, but i used to have Chameleon 2.0RC1.... i tried to install the chameleon youre talking about, but said i didnt need this update...

I know you said not to quote you, but here I am lol... it prob is running at 667, but its annoying, and even under more info it says 533 for each installed modules....
