SticMAC™
if USB's don't mount then your system.kext and mach_kernel must be the same version! if DMG's don't open then your seatbelt.kext and mach_kernel must be the same version! TechWiz
go to the site where your current kernel is being developed and look for a system.kext that matches your kernel version (an updated .pkg file or .dmg shuld fix the issue entirely) Also you can try using the Voodoo installer which handles the entire process. **NOTE: This will change your kernel to a version that may not be supported by your system! Make sure you back your kernel up before installing Voodoo! I think the Voodoo installed creates a backup anyway but better be safe than sorry Run the following command in Terminal to quickly backup your kernel sudo cp /mach_kernel /mach_kernel.bak If you cant boot, spam F8 like a madman and boot with the flag mach_kernel.bak ^or whatever you called your backup If mounting DMG's give you a kernel panic (mine always does from a fresh Voodoo install) heres my seatbelt.kext which works well with voodoo seatbelt.kext.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/179005-my-usb-ports-dont-work-until-restart/#findComment-1224549 Share on other sites
