Ze das Cove
Hi!!!!! I have a problem that long can not solve and despite several attempts and searches for the truth and nothing worked. I have installed OS X 10.5.7 (Retail) on a Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook. Almost everything I need works fine (sound, video, network, wifi, bluetooth), more information on macyourpc.com. The problem that bothers me most is the CPU fan, it is almost always triggered. Usually this happens in Windows, hence the suspicion of being a controller of Leopard not working well or not working. I tried the IntelSpeedStep and VoodooPower. The voodoo had a better performance but still the fan is almost always with excessive noise. Already read the manual of Voodoo Superhai that the kext is configurable but it means moving in voltage processor does not want me no chance to discuss the issue before. Someone has been there? Any ideas? Thank you all, sorry for English. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/178958-laptop-cpu-fan/ Share on other sites

Slice
I have Dell Inspiron 1525 (modification with Core2Duo T8300 2,4GHz). No such problem! I use 23 0 0x2e1a5000 0x1f000 0x1e000 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement (76.2.0) 94 0 0x33f44000 0xa000 0x9000 com.superhai.driver.GenericCPUPowerManagement (1.1.2) Chameleon 1.0.11 + ChameleomSM by Mackerintel <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MB41.88Z.00C1.B03.0802271651</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacBook4,1</string> - it is very significant! No SleepEnabler, no OpenHaltRestart, no CPU dependent DSDT corrections. My CPU fan goes on when CPU temperature greater then 51C.
