johnmelano
Hi, I'm not totally new to the OSX86 scene but I'm not testing all the releases and I don't know what all the different choices in the customized setup mean. Other than the above mentioned motherboard, I have a Q6700 CPU, 8 GB of DDR2 800 Mhz RAM, a few WD Caviar SATA II drives and a HIS ATI Radeon 4850. So far I tried 3 times with the new iAtkos v7 to no avail. If I can get the installer to finish, when I boot up the next time it doesn't get to the welcome screen. Can somebody who has had success with this Intel motherboard please post what choices they made from the installer? For the few people who may not know this, this is the motherboard normally referred to as Bad Axe 2. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/178884-need-correct-install-settings-for-intel-d975xbx2-with-iatkos-v7/ Share on other sites

Thanks Hi , set your sata controller to AHCI , in bios , use chameleon v2 and smbios.plist , which you can find in Library/Temp . Edit it and move it to /Extra, if you get wrong reports about your system . You can also manually patch audio with the taruga intel hda patcher . vanilla kernel . You also need the appledecrypt.kext . They are selected by default on iATKOS v7 . Also you might need ApplePs2 , for a PS2 mouse or keyboard . Bad Axe 2 , Q6600 , 4 GB DDR2-800 , 8800GTX , 4 x WD-AAKS . It runs perfect for me . You might also want the AHCI fix . Updated from apple to 10.5.8 .
