ajclarkson
Hi Guys, 2 days into my adventure with OSx86 and I am loving it (once I cleared up the kernel panics that is!) I have a hiper UK layout keyboard which I am using, and I am having one tiny problem with it. Everything works fine except for the \ key, which is right next to my left shift and before the z key. At the minute \ has mapped itself to the key next to 1 and above tab. This is OK but I am a developer and write a lot of code each day on my machine, so I am very used to the \ and | keys being easily accessible. I am sure I could learn to adapt to this layout, but it seems a shame that the key is there and cant be used. Now I have tried using ukelele to solve this problem, but the issue lies within the fact that the computer won't even acknowledge the existence of that key, even software like Full Key Code etc shows nothing when it is pressed. Is there anything I can do?? Thanks in advance Adam Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/178858-hiper-keyboard-problem/ Share on other sites

ajclarkson
try redetecting your keyboard.. SysPref > Keyboard and Mouse > Keyboard > Change Keyboard Type (at the bottom of the window) I don't have a Change Keyboard Type option there? Just a question mark to fire off the help dialogue?
