sebster
Hello, this forum has been of tremendous help towards the installation of MacOS on my Acer Aspire One A150BGW-3G. Using the iAtkos release and tutorials from the forum, everything is working perfectly (MacOS X 10.5.7) - apart from that nasty internal 3g modem that I'd like to use (works perfectly on Windows XP). I don't see a way to make it work, so that's why I'm asking for your help. The System profiler shows a "Qualcomm HS-USB" entry on the USB highspeed bus (Product ID "0x9212", Vendor ID "0x05c6 (Qualcomm, Inc)", but there is no device available from within the network settings to configure the 3g modem. In another thread (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t129774-450.html) I read that installing launch2net helps to recognize the 3g modem. This doesn't work for me though, when I try to run launch2net an error message pops up, telling me "Error: MacOS X expected! Please reinstall with version for MacOS X 10.5.7 Click on OK to quit". Huh? When I plug in my 3G USB dongle (Huawei), launch2net runs perfectly, so this error message doesn't seem to exactly describe the problem. Any help towards using the internal 3g modem is greatly appreciated. Perhaps there are some kexts available to make it work?
