hi guys

semi-successfully hackintoshed this old compaq heap of shiza with the ideneb v1.5 install dvd (10.5.7).

booted from the DVD and reformatted using disk utility then went ahead and installed with the GMA900 driver and my wireless utility and everything went smooth. install took roughly 15 to 20 min. rebooted and chameleon 2 shows up after bios - nice! boot into leopard and waited for ~5minutes looking at the grey apple screen - no spinny thing under the apple so i reboot in verbose mode - nothings happening. tried a bunch of combinations of boot options including -f and -x still the same prob. anyhow, i figure maybe it's a chameleon 2.0 issue so i boot from ideneb DVD again and chameleon 1.0.12 pops up. i select my leopard install with rd=disk0s1 boot option and viola! i'm in. i start messing around a bit - ethernet works without patch. trouble getting the wireless util to work but i can mess with that later. i decided to reinstall the os and select chameleon 1.0.12 instead of version 2.0 as the bootloader in the customize install menu. this doesn't work however - the 1.0.12 bootloader doesn't even load and i get the lovely blank flashing prompt. guess i'll continue with the booting from dvd for now. anyone have any suggestions on how to get this booting up but itself?

here's a bit of the system specs:

mobo is asus ptgd-la (goldfish3)

intel p4 515 prescott 2.93 Ghz

intel 915GV integrated graphics

4gb ddr2-667

I have an HP Pavilion media center m1280n (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=ca&docname=c00291217)

Uses the same motherboard Asus PTGD-LA.

After many tries, I have succesfully installed ipc OSx86 10.5.6 intel AMD SSE2 SSe3 install with these options:

http://tgrounds.blogspot.com/2008/10/osx-l...1055-on-pc.html

1) boot with -f

2) format HD to Mac OS extended journal

3) follow instructions from tgrounds (link above)

4) Use these options:

Intel 915P, choose ICHx Sata

Video: natit

Sound: ALC880

patched usb drivers

UUID error fix

verbose mode

kernel the last one in the list

Applications all but Marvins AMD utility

And Ps2 keybord

Hope this helps.
