Hello i just had problem with my lan card , i followed some of the instructions on the forum here but some problems occure me during the instructions for eg.

 

 

"2) In OSX, go into Terminal and edit the following file:

sudo nano /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleYukon.kext/Contents/Info.plist

if u get an "Open with" dialog, right click the file and click "Show Package Contents"

 

when i write

 

sudo nano /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleYukon.kext/Contents/Info.plist

 

it asks me for password after i press enter , since i dont have pass i just hit enter again and nothing happend no files are opened or stuff like that just i get the user name again in terminal and waits for new command...

 

regards that i navigated to the file trought the finder and i opened it and configure it i changed the id to 43435111AB

and changed to yukon fast ethernet 88E8036 and when i try to save it says that i dont have permissions i opened "get info"

and add permissions to my account and to the admin (me) so i set all up to "write and read" and i saved that closed and again i couldnt modify it again i had no permission, so i decided to copy the file to the desktop , i modified it as i said and than copy it over back replace it and i did it , ok that worked well now i rebooted the machine , after i got into i head stright to the system prefferences and opened network than window poped up and said ethernet is found and i could see on the left in the list Ethernet and under it not connected , and that's my main problem it sees it like it's not connected with cable says that the cable is unpluged , something like when you are in windows and dont have your lan connected but my cables are connected , and i dual boot with windows 7 and in win 7 i got internet and it works fine, but in ideneb i cant get it working ...
