I have created two partition in my harddisk, a MAC and a FAT for windows. Now that I'm done installing my MAC with chameleon installed, should I just install XP from CD onto FAT partition?

My only worry if the XP installation will overwrite the MBR/Chameleon..Anyone knows if this will happen and if so how to avoid it?

Thanks

It will overwrite it.

First: Fat sucks... use ntfs (but thats another topic for another time).

Second: Boot from vista cd or 7 cd or some dos cd and use diskpart to change ur disk0s2 (or whichever ur xp partition is) to active

ex:

diskpart

select disk 0

list partition

select partition ___ (whatever it is, lets say 2)

active

exit

exit

then

install xp on that partition

next use diskpart to change your active partition to disk 1 (or whatever mac is)

then reinstall chameleon.

btw, the first step may be unnecessary, but id do it JIC.

So there isn't any easy way out, it seems....

how do I reinstall chameleon if it's already there?
