David Marsh
Hi guys, Im new here. I have an Inspiron 1525, Kalyway works fine on it, except sound, so I have tried various sound kexts with no luck. I installed one last night with osx86 tools, and restarted, after I restarted, it booted fine, but I have to do the hotcorner trick. I tried doing it and nothing happened, so I rebooted and tried a few more times, still nothing. So I closed the lid and let it sleep on its own, when it went onto sleep, I woke it up and I see a black screen with a mouse cursor in the top left of the screen, but the funny thing is that the mouse responds, but as another cursor. So there is one in the top left of the screen that doesnt move, and there is one I can move around the screen. I tried booting with -v and -f but no luck, any ideas or solutions please? EDIT: When it boots up, and then the screen goes blank where I would usualy do the hot corner, the DVD drive ejects. EDIT2: I left it on for a bit, and then was going to try booting off the DVD, I pressed some buttons and it was on the safe boot login mode (I booted with -x) EDIT3: I have worked out a way to boot into it. 1. boot in -x 2.let it load 3. type my password and press enter 4. move the mouse to the hotspot and then use the computer Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/178264-dell-inspiron-1525-boots-fine-but-has-a-weird-hang/ Share on other sites
