nyjets12
Can someone look at my hardware config as specified in my signature and tell me if anything jumps out at them as problem causing? I am using SATA 250 gb hard drive (brand new) and Pioneer DVD-RW DL is connected to IDE controller (blue) not the ITE.. XP loads just fine. When I install having just created the one partition in Disk Utility, the install completes, but then on reboot I get (every time) a black box with (multilingual) "You must restart your computer" When I try with XP already on it, and with half of the hard drive still avail, Disk Utility will not let me keep the NTFS formatted partition with XP on it, it says it will destroy it (and it does!) I select what I believe is the correct patches off the DVD 10.4.6 Intel, SSE3, wireless, printers, etc I do not pick the AMD patches.. Any help! Oh, btw I cannot get error messages, when I hit F8 it does nothing and cannot get to enter -v boot option on reboot after install completes either,, BTW- using normal PS2 keybd and mouse, not USB All hardware is brand new and XP has no problems Thanks!
