2wiSteD
I've been following this Dell Inspiron 1525 HackBook Pro Tutorial to the 'T'. After getting the onboard WLAN card to work and downloading/installing 10.5.7 (from 10.5.3) via Software Update, my laptop hung on boot. Couldn't boot with single-user, couldn't boot in safe mode. Did some searching on here and re-pointed the Root Disk to the apropriate partition, and loaded back my 1525 DSDT.aml file. YAY! So long in the short, I'm back to seeing my desktop. Problem is, nothing is working. Nothing being my keyboard, trackpad, trackpad buttons, WLAN card, etc, etc, etc. The only thing functioning at this point would be the OS, the video, and my power button. I can't even keep it awake. =( I just started getting into this a week ago. I know my way around for the most part, but I really don't know any Terminal commands. Hell, I don't know how to show the contents of the directory I'm in. Alittle help? =) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/178078-i-broke-it-but-fixed-it-well-almost/ Share on other sites
2wiSteD
So here's what I've tried so far: Repairing permissions Replacing the Extensions folder with the Extensions folder on the boot DVD Deleting the Extensions.mkext Replacing the kernel with the DVD kernel (this didn't work at all) Replacing the kernel with the original 10.5.2 Kalyway sleep kernel Fixing permissions for the ApplePS2Controller.kext To no avail.
