Hello,

I'm trying to install the LawlessPPC 10.5.2 Phenom&AMD version of os x86.

I get through the installation fine, it took about an hour. (I didn't get prompted for customization yet, specific drivers etc..?). When it reboots, it hangs up on the Grey Apple screen. I get the animated grey spinning circle. But after a few seconds, a crossed-out symbol appears at the top of the Apple.

My Hardware:

Motherboard:MSI K9N6SGM-V

Chipset: NVidia GeForce 6100/nForce 405

CPU: Athlon 64 x2 3800+ @ 2.0 ghz

RAM: 1GB DDR2 (not sure of bus speed etc..I'm currently at work)

Hard Drive: IDE WD 80Gb

DVD-R: IDE, not sure of band (pretty generic)

Could this have something to do with master/Slave set-up. Come to think of it, I think I have the DVD Drive set to master and the HD set to slave....Would this cause the problem?

After quite a bit of trial and error and digging around in Google, I final have my hackintosh up and running.

Everything seems to be working pretty good. Every now and then the computer just randomly reboots. Its a little annoying, but I can deal with it for now. I'm not sure if it could be a BIOS setting or something.

Well, anyway....if anyone else is interested, here's my process.

BTW. Hard drive set to master, DVD drive set to slave ..same IDE cable.

First:

Completely erase and reformat your hard drive. I used a program called G-Parted. I formatted my hard drive with only one partition in HFS+ format.

Second: Installed OSX 10.5.4 LawlessPPC for AMD. At the boot prompt I typed: -v (verbose mode)

After a few minutes of code, it will eventually start loading the Grey Apple Boot screen. Once this part loads completely, go into the Disk Utilities. Use that to erase the hard drive volume again and reformat. I used Mac OS Extended (not journaled). Close out the disk utility when the erase/format is complete. Begin the OSX installation.

After agreing to the Terms, choose the Customize button for a custom installation. Then within the next section don't choose any 3rd party drivers! Only install the System files. Then begin the install.

Third: After the computer reboots ...voila...you have OSX 10.5.4 on your AMD.

But No LAN or Sound.

I have a Belkin USB WAN adaper. I used this for wireless LAN with the Zydas driver. It seems to work great.

I installed the Azalia kext for the sound and its working but only from the Left side. I think I need to install the AAC883 kext, but I'm afraid to screw around since everything is woring so well right now (minus the right side audio).

Next step, to install the iPhone SDK.

I tried this once already with the iPhone SDK for AMD hack. Ie. Replace the iPhoneSDK.pkg with the hacked version, but it won't install. I also tried installing the legit Apple version only to get a kernel panic. But I fixed that and have a workable hackintosh at this point.

Any suggestions on how to get the iPhone SDK installed and working?
