metsjets254
Hi Everybody- I am running Windows XP and recently I installed Leopard 10.5 on my second partition. I am using the darwin bootloader. the bootloader will let me boot xp with no problems, but when I try to boot Leopard it gives me a kernel panic. I am able to boot leopard from the install disk. All I do is boot from the disk and wait 8 sec. I have tried booting with different flags such as -f -v, -legacy and cpus=1 but they all still give me the kernel panic... can anybody help me? Also- this is my boot.plist(Is the boot device correct?): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs$ <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Boot Device</key> <string>/PCI0@0/pci8086,27c0@1F,2/CHN0@0/@0:2</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> </dict> </plist> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/177911-kernel-panic-when-booting-up-leopard-from-darwin/ Share on other sites

metsjets254
Try Chameleon bootloader v2. It has a lot bug fixes. I've already tried Chameleon and I went back to Darwin because it was giving me the same problem. But i don't know if i installed chameleon correctly. I just downloaded the .pkg from the website and installed it. A lot of other forums were talking about putting it on a thumb drive. Does it make a difference?
