weqo
I've followed the instructions for "RUNNING OS X (10.5.7) ON THE GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 (Core i7) MOTHERBOARD" at http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=149505 and have 10.5.7 installed and running almost perfectly (used digital_dreamer's script). However, my system sometimes kernel panics upon putting media into my dvdrom drive. I had this issue while trying to install from the retail dvd in kalyway too; I ended up creating a .dmg of the retail dvd to install it. I do find it strange that creating the .dmg was okay but installing it wasnt but it worked so I shrug. This doesnt always happen, but I would say there is maybe a 50% chance of a kernel panic any time I put in a disc. I don't remember what brand my drive is I think it may be an LG? It's the only IDE drive in my system. Could that be the issue? Sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and didn't see anything.
