Solanite
Hi, I'm a noob to this whole deal. I'm trying to install os x86 on my pc. My Hardware: Mainboard: ASUS PK5PL-AM SE Chipset: Intel P35/G33/G31 Southbridge 82801GB(ICH7/R) CPU: Intel E2200 @ 2.2 Ghz SSE, SSE2, SSE3 RAM: 1 GB PC2-6400 CL5 Patriot Memory Sony DVD Writer (at work, didn't write down the model) Hard drive: Should I use SATA or IDE? I have both. SATA I get nowhere ....IDE I at least get something. BIOS: American Megatrends latest version (released in May I think) Ideneb v1.4 When I have the IDE hard drive set to master and the DVD drive set to slave, it freezes on: Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict> I've tried switching the master/slave config with no luck. Tried: toh -v, mach_970 -v, -x, -v at boot. A few times it loaded the Grey Apple screen, but just freezes on that. What should I do? I'm wondering if I need a different version of the BIOS or something? I have no clue where to go from here. Please help!!! I burned the DVD on DVD+RW using Nero at 2x. I just downlaoded v1.5, but have not tried it yet. Would this help...and what media is best?
