cheers

i have a XFX Nvidia 8800 GTS graphics card, i was using iDeneb 10.5.4 and all was working fine.

since i updated to 10.5.6 and now eventualy to 10.5.7 iDeneb my graphics card starts up on boot with the apple logo but then when it is going to switch to the desktop my display says "out of range".

My monitor only has VGA so i am using a DVI to VGA cable, but all was working fine before.

I tried switching between dvi ports on the graphics card with no result.

Booted in single user mode but does the same.

If i wait long enough i can see that it puts the monitor to sleep but if i move the mouse again it says again "out of range".

I tried NvInject and NvDarwin during install to no result.

I tried the Graphics Mode string on boot and it did change the resolution on the apple logo during boot, but then again going to desktop "out of range".

I googled but couldnt find a case similar to mine except one that said that solved it connecting trough DVI to DVI but he could boot in single user and see the desktop and the graphics card wasnt the same.

If some one knows of this problem and can point me in the right direction i would be very thankfull

Did you try booting with -x argument? at least get you to your desktop (or create an account). Sounds like maybe the scan rate is too high. You might want to try ATY_inject (it sounds like for ATI but the readme says for Nvidia to, better double check that).
