tmitim
Sorry I might ask some very stupid questions or use incorrect terms, because I have never touched any OS other than windows before. I tried to install Leo Retail on my IBM thinkpad T43, but it never booted successfully. I read a lot of posts and realized that I need bouch of correct .text, including one system kernel and some appropriate drivers. However, I didn't have any working Mac OS, and so I could not make the right boot iso for myself. In the end, I got a good plan, which is to install something like iDeneb first, and to make it work perfectlly, and then collect all the working .text, and at last make the final working boot iso. I will try to make all my questions in this post, and hope someone can help me get though my problems, a lot thanks!! Q1: I just finished install the iDeneb successfully, then I tried to install the wifi driver, I downloaded one .dmg file, and installed. After that, I could not open my network utility, always showed the error message letting me choose ignore, report or restart. I assume that .kext is like the driver in windows, in that case, if I want to remove the driver, I can simply find that .kext and delete it, am I right? Also, the wireless config comes out on the right top corner, I found my wireless router, and tried to connect it, it let me input the wep code, I did, but did not get connected, wired. Q2: In the folder full of .kext, there are hundreds of .kext in mine, some are high-lighted, does that mean that only the high-lighted ones are current being used? Can I delete the other ones, and make the system faster? Also, in the future, if I want to make a good boot iso, I can find all .kext I need in this folder, am I right? Q3: My network adapter is recognized in iDeneb, and shows connected when pluged with a cable from my router, also I could enter my router setup page, but just could not connect the internet, what should I do?
