Flash619
I have tried to install Kalyway but it's drivers never worked and it kills itself when running a nforce chipset. iPC can only run when the cpus=1 argument is placed witch means i'm only using 1 out of 4 cores for my cpu witch causes huge lag on everything. Also the nforce land doesn't work but i found a working .kext for it. So i am looking out for someone to please try and find a distro that won't have to many headaches to overcome for my hardware, i have listed the hardware below, and i have a huge thanks to whoever can help. ======================== Motherboard: EVGA nForce 750i sli ftw GPU: EVGA 9800gtx+ cpu: Intel Core2 Quad 2.6GHz HD: Sata 160gb PSU: Cosair 850w RAM: 4gb Mushkin high velocity *********ram timings 4-4-4-12 ======================== Looking forward to your replies! MS1994
Have you considered using the Boot 132 method? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/177262-recomend-a-distro-for-me-please-ipc-cpus1-needed/#findComment-1212617 Share on other sites
Flash619
never heard of it before, hows it work? This old seagate hdd does have some bad sectors, maybe thats the cause of all my problems? i looked up the boot method looks a little complicated for something this simple, it's not that it can't be installed it's that the cpus=1 is needed after install and it slows the system to a crawl.
