Velvetty
I've tried Natit.kext by netkas. I've tried the simple guide. Also other installation guides. Also tried the ATY_Init.kext by netkas. I don't know what to do now. I'm using the Asus EAH4850. A DVI to DVI connection. I've got 2 DVI slots for the card and I used the white one instead of the yellow DVI slot in my 4850. This is what happened, after I install the drivers, I can see the brief blue screen and the mouse pointer for let's say, 1 millisecond before it just goes to a blank screen and my LG monitor tells me "No signal" I really need the drivers. iWork keeps telling me I don't have enough VRAM when I know I do! EDIT: Could it be the DVI - DVI connection? or the different DVI port I'm using? Mushishi
you need to have your dvi -> vga converter in the unused dvi port. no cable, or anything. Just the converter. lupo92
Wait, if we are getting a no signal after installing the ATI 4850 drivers, all we have to do is a put the DVI > VGA converter in the unused slot, and it will work? Edit - That didn't work for me. I only got the blue screen and the mouse. ahhlok
this method work for me for 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...0&start=160 1. download the video.zip 2. adding the 0x94421002 id to ati4800 kext 3. ALL go in the Systems/Library/Extensions and use kext Utility to repair permissions and rebuild mkext Add graphicenabler=yes to com.apple.Boot.plist <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> and it work !
