I've tried Natit.kext by netkas. I've tried the simple guide. Also other installation guides. Also tried the ATY_Init.kext by netkas.

 

I don't know what to do now. I'm using the Asus EAH4850. A DVI to DVI connection. I've got 2 DVI slots for the card and I used the white one instead of the yellow DVI slot in my 4850.

 

This is what happened, after I install the drivers, I can see the brief blue screen and the mouse pointer for let's say, 1 millisecond before it just goes to a blank screen and my LG monitor tells me "No signal"

 

I really need the drivers. iWork keeps telling me I don't have enough VRAM when I know I do!

 

EDIT: Could it be the DVI - DVI connection? or the different DVI port I'm using?

this method work for me for 10.6.3 and 10.6.4

1. download the video.zip

2. adding the 0x94421002 id to ati4800 kext

3. ALL go in the Systems/Library/Extensions and use kext Utility to repair permissions and rebuild mkext

Add graphicenabler=yes to com.apple.Boot.plist

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>

<string>Yes</string>

 

and it work !
