For those that may have the same model PC, here is what I did to get from Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 to 10.5.5...The upgrade list is as follows:

10.5.1 to 10.5.2 via the Kalyway Combo Update

10.5.2. to 10.5.3 via the Kalyway Combo Update

10.5.3 to 10.5.4 via the Apple Update (non-Combo)

10.5.4 to 10.5.5 via the Apple Update (non-Combo)

For the first upgrade, I just ran the install with no special modifications. I let it restart the machine, then it did a force restart when I chose to load it with no special commands. So that's how to get it to 10.5.2...

To get to 10.5.3, I ran the update after loading terminal and doing those commands specified in other posts (sudo -s, while sleep 1; do rf -rm....etc) then before restarting I ran the kernel update...I stopped the sleep mode in terminal and checked for the dsmos.kext in the scripts/1 file (which was not there) then I restarted again. I loaded the OS without any upgrades and it did the same thing as for 10.5.2 (restarted again).

I did the same thing for 10.5.4 as for 10.5.3, but instead of loading it without any commands, I typed update to load Leopard 10.5.4...I have repeated the same process for 10.5.5, so every time I load OSX, I have to type update, otherwise it won't load.

This method worked for my HP Pavilion a815n PC which has a 3.06GHz processor and 1GB of RAM and a 128MB Video Card. I added the kxAudio Drivers to load my SoundBlaster sound card...

Can't upgrade to 10.5.6 via Delta (hard reboot screen) or Combo (still waiting on root device) so I can only get to 10.5.5 with this machine. If there is anyone that has similar specs that are successful in upgrading to 10.5.6, it would be appreciated if I knew how to do it.
