tahoerule
I had OsX and XP running happily on my computer for several months on my dell laptop. I used the Acronis Disk Selector and somehow in the last couple days that got corrupted or something. So after reading online, I tried the recovery console to fix my mbr files and that didn't work. I don't have an XP disk as new dells don't come with one, but using my OsX disk, I can get into OsX and reboot straight into OsX. Any thoughts on how to fix my boot loader? Is there any boot loader I could install from within OsX that would work? I would prefer to not have to make a third partition with Linux on it. Any ideas? Thanks. rogabean
You can reload acronis (provided you have it installed on another machine) from a thumb drive or floppy disk. FYI. that is how I load it on my machines. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17701-boot-loader-help/#findComment-114676 Share on other sites
