I'm getting Random "Still Waiting for Root Device" errors. My Comp full loads to OSX sometimes and sometimes it just freezes with the "stop sign".

Now, one thing I know for sure is that, whenever it loads to OSX fully, the iPC 10.5.6 dvd is inside my DVD-rom drive. And I can always hear it spinning when it boots into OSX. So i'm assuming its loading something (kexts?) from the DVD?

From what I have read, "Still waiting for Root Device" corresponds to chipset drivers. Is it loading the "missing" chipset drivers from the CD? I installed the iCH10 Chipset Drivers as I read in my directions when I installed iPC 10.5.6. So i'm confused, how do I prevent this and let it boot into OSX without the CD?

My Setup:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.40 Ghz

GigaByte GA-EP45-UD3L

500 gb SATA2 on SATA 1 slot

DVD-ROM drive (master) on single IDE slot (only one on my mobo)

4 gb ram,

ATi Sapphire 2400 PCIE,

yadayada.

Thanks a bajillion
